About the Awards

The QCT thanks all teachers who nominated a colleague for this year's TEACHX Awards. The quality of nominations recognises the high standard of teaching and significant contributions made by teachers in their school communities.

2022 TEACHX Award Winners have been announced

Winners were announced at a ceremony in Brisbane on Thursday 27 October.

Shortlisted nominees

From a total of 230 nominations across six categories, 71 nominees were shortlisted to progress to the second round of judging. Shortlisted candidates and unsuccessful candidates have been contacted. We congratulate all nominees.

Judging

Three rigorous rounds of judging were completed by expert panellists including classroom teachers and principals from across state, Catholic and independent schools and early childhood settings.

Nominations were judged against a set of criteria specific to each award category that considered factors such as a nominee’s impact on student learning, and their contribution to the school community and the profession.

2023 TEACHX Awards

Nominations for the next TEACHX Awards will reopen in early 2023. The QCT will be communicating updates about the 2023 Awards via eNews, the QCT website and on social media. What are the TEACHX Awards?

The TEACHX Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of teachers in Queensland.

Every year, teachers from across Queensland's schooling sectors and early childhood education and care services are nominated to share their stories and inspire colleagues.

The QCT is proud to give a voice to these stories and to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary work being done by these remarkable individuals within the profession.

Commencing in 2009, these awards exemplify the significant contribution to schools and early childhood communities across Queensland, attracting thousands of nominations for registered teachers who have achieved exceptional outcomes.

To be nominated for a TEACHX Award is an achievement in itself. Winning a TEACHX category signifies teaching quality and dedication, and is a mark of distinction.
